Prince Harry and Prince William used to be so close. As the only two siblings of Princess Diana and Prince Charles, they were often together, doing things with one another. However, their relationship seems to be tarnished and reportedly made worst by the so-called Megxit, and this unearthed interview revealed how close the two royal siblings were.
In a BBC interview in 2009, the Duke of Sussex made a savage jibe at his brother when he was talking about his helicopter course exam. Express noted that when he proudly said that he finally got his hands on a job he wanted, he suddenly added that he was better than Prince William.
The Duke of Cambridge just laughed and told his younger brother to "just add that." He was then asked if he was helping Prince Harry with his exams, to which he said an "awful lot," and he needed a lot of help. Harry then just laughed.
When talking about his helicopter training, Meghan Markle's husband revealed that he strived to be "better than the best." Prince William then butted in and asked him if he managed to get off the ground yet. Prince Harry just dismissed his older brother and confirmed that he indeed moved the helicopter off the ground.
The reporters knew it was a special moment for the royal siblings as it would be the last time that they would live together. They used to share a cottage near the military training grounds, and Prince Harry promised that it would be the first and last time that they would live together.
"It's been a fairly emotional experience, yeah," Prince William added. However, Prince Harry assured that there was no service rivalry between them. So when asked if they would work together again, Kate Middleton's husband explained that after he cooked and fed him every day, he was confident that his brother did rather well.
Prince Harry and Prince William's relationship before differs from their bond today. According to The Sun, their relationship has been "forever changed" after Megxit.
Rumors about a rift between the two have been rampant since last year. The tension between them even, allegedly, increased when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dropped their bombshell announcement in January.
A source told People magazine that Prince Harry and Prince William would never go back to the "way they were." Harry straightly looks to the future with his family. He also reportedly plans to spend more time in California with his kid, Archie Harrison, and wife. He is so focused on his marriage that he has no plans to "look back."
