BLACKPINK is one of the most popular Korean girl groups today. They travel the world with a crew but an alleged former YG Entertainment employee revealed BLACKPINK has no male staff members.

A person who claimed to be a former employee of BLACKPINK's label YG Entertainment revealed why the "Kill This Love" singers have no man in their staff. According to allkpop, the said ex-employee disclosed in an interview with Youtube channel 후커들 (Hu Keo Deul) that Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are always surrounded by female staff only because of one person: Teddy.

"BLACKPINK may be under YG Entertainment. But The BLACK Label's Teddy is the person who is in charge of them. Teddy knows the members are pretty so he hates when there is male staff around them. That is why all their staff members are women," he said. The ex-employee's identity has been concealed in the interview.

Teddy (whose real name is Park Hong Jun) is known in the K-pop industry as YG's in-house songwriter and producer. He was a former member of the hip hop group 1TYM. After the group went on hiatus in 2005, Teddy joined YG.

He was credited to many of BIGBANG and 2NE1 hit songs. Currently, he has been a major producer of BLACKPINK's albums. In 2015, he co-founded The Black Label which is a record label and a subsidiary of YG Entertainment.

Reports have it that the alleged ex-employee of YG is also the one who previously revealed that they saw former BIGBANG member Seungri at a bar in Shinsadong earlier this year. The interview on the employee about BLACKPINK has already been set into private after it received media attention.

Meanwhile, many fans are not convinced of the ex-YG employee's claim. They stressed that BLACKPINK has male managers and bodyguards. They also noted that if the ex-YG employee is talking about the group's makeup, wardrobe, and stylist personnel, BLACKPINK perhaps has all-female staff members like other K-pop groups.

Others, however, believe the former YG employee's claim. Some brought up the no-dating policy of the company while others recalled what IKON member Bobby said in the past. Bobby said they are not allowed to meet the four members of BLACKPINK even though they are in the same building.

The alleged ex-YG employee is not the first person from the company who shared information about the label or its current or former artists. It can be recalled that a few weeks back, a current employee of YG participated in a discussion on an app for company employees about their funniest story at work. An anonymous YG employee shared his funniest story at work was Seungri not getting jailed
