Weeks after his light remarks on the then-emerging coronavirus outbreak, Prince William has now reportedly broken his silence about the now-pandemic. It was said that he is the first member of the British Royal Family to officially address the COVID-19 case, especially in the United Kingdom.

In a short clip that the Kensington Palace released earlier this week, Page Six shared that the royal-born Prince called the apparent outbreak as the "crisis he dreaded." Even so, he also reportedly made his support known for the National Emergencies Trust.

As per the publication, the trust is currently raising funds in order to support the local charities that have been sending help and assistance to all those who have been affected by the virus. Prince William then said that he is "grateful" that the Trust exists to ensure that all of their efforts in helping those in need are "channeled" in the best ways possible.

It was also mentioned that during the launch of the National Emergencies Trust last year, he said that he "dreaded" the day when they would need to use it. But, with the arrival of the COVID-19 in Europe, especially in the United Kingdom, Prince William noted that the day has come much "faster" than any one of them have hoped.

Thankfully, though, he reportedly said that the "people of the UK" possess a "unique ability" that shows the very best of human nature amid all adversity. With all the help and support that everyone is giving each other, he further shared that this is the reason why the Trust was "important."

Aside from Prince William, Town & Country recently reported that Prince Harry also issued a statement following the release of his brother's video message. He was said to describe the apparent outbreak in recent weeks as "uncertain times."

The Duke of Sussex then reportedly reminded everyone that "we need each other." He also explained that this needing others at times like this is for "truth" and "support." It was added that this is also to "feel less alone," especially during this time when it feels "quite scary."

The same report revealed that the Sussex couple has pledged some of their resources to support the ones in need, in "navigating" the pandemic. It was also said that they will soon release "inspiring stories."

As of the time of writing, United Kingdom's COVID-19 confirmed cases have already reached 3,269. The number of deaths was also tallied at 184 based on the latest updates.
