Prince William and Kate Middleton went out of their ways inside the Kensington Palace to personally give thanks to the "first responders" of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. They also reportedly brought the Queen's and the Heir Apparent's messages to the individuals who tirelessly help the public amid the crisis.

On Thursday, the royal couple paid a visit to NHS' London Ambulance Service to speak with the staff and head about the current condition of the institution. It was said that they have been receiving "five times" more calls than usual from the citizens of the United Kingdom.

According to USA Today, the London Ambulance Service is part of the United Kingdom's National Health Service. They are also said to be the "responsible" ones for responding to the public's "medical emergencies."

The reports stated that Prince William and Kate Middleton made their thanks known and told how the staff's service is "important," especially during the outbreak in the country. It was then revealed that the Duke also made a speech explaining how the NHS represents the "very best" of the society and the country.

He reportedly shared that the staff is made up of people from all "walks of life," who also have different skills and experiences, and yet all are doing their best efforts to pull together for the "common good." Prince William and Kate Middleton also noted how the NHS staff and workers are not only responding to the needs of the public but, just like everyone else in recent times, they are also looking after their families and loved ones. Therefore, they also need the "support" that everyone can give.

The Duke of Cambridge continued to remind that everyone has "a part to play" in this crisis. So, as much as possible, the public must act based on the "latest expert advice." These include "staying home" and "avoiding non-essential contact," he explained.

In a similar report released by The Crown Chronicles, it was said that the British Royal Family members, especially the seniors, have already cancelled and postponed most of their engagements and events. While Prince William and Kate Middleton have reportedly done the same for their upcoming tours and appearances, it seemingly appears that they will remain active at the front and center of the British Monarchy.

Queen Elizabeth II reportedly gave a speech recently about the outbreak in the United Kingdom. Despite her and Prince Philip's "self-isolation" in Windsor Castle, she said that the Royal Family is "ready to play" their parts in "moving forward."
