Prince William and Kate Middleton recently made an unannounced visit at NHS' London Ambulance Service's call center in Croydon. The royal couple reportedly went to the station to personally thank the staff and workers for their efforts in servicing the public amid the coronavirus pandemic.

It was also noted that they brought with them the gratitude that the Queen and the Heir Apparent wanted to give to the "frontliners." The Duke and Duchess then encouraged everyone to support as well those that help the public in this time of crisis.

While their intention was to show support and give appreciation, Prince William and Kate Middleton's visit was met with criticisms after. As revealed, the royal fans and followers were "unhappy" and disappointed that they went out of their home despite the advice of "self-isolation."

According to New Idea, several individuals took their thoughts and comments to social media where the royal couple shared updates about their recent engagement. It was said that many of the fans deemed their visit to Croydon as a clear avoidance of the protocols set by the health officials to help slow down and even prevent the further spread of the virus.

Some individuals reportedly noted that Prince William and Kate Middleton's photos clearly showed how they did not practice "social distancing" and self-isolation. Others even pointed out that the royal couple was just "2 feet" away from their audience, and that they did not wear any mask.

While a few of the comments largely indicated disappointments, there were also those royal fans who shared their concerns toward the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Most of these individuals reportedly asked them to "stay at home," especially now that London has become the riskiest city in the United Kingdom.

As per Media Entertainment Arts WorldWide, despite the fans feeling "upset" over the Duke and Duchess' engagement, it was reported that the royals learned firsthand how NHS staff and workers at the frontlines tirelessly work in recent weeks to help the public amid the COVID-19 concern. It was revealed that the call center received "five times more calls than usual" since the emergence of the crisis.

Also, other reports shared that Prince William and Kate Middleton did not actually ignore the precautionary measures set in place. As claimed, the Cambridge couple did not shake hands with anybody and repeatedly sanitized during the engagement. It was also added that they practiced social distancing throughout their visit.
