The US electric vehicle maker Tesla launched the Cybertruck last year and was well received by the industry despite its polarizing design. In fact, the Tesla all-electric pickup truck got over 250,000 pre-orders and reservations a few days after it was formally introduced to the public. But, other automakers would not let this opportunity pass without giving a good fight, and as of this writing, there are six electric pickup truck preparing to challenge the Cybertruck.

Six Tesla Cybertruck Challengers

Tesla received both criticisms and praises when if officially unveiled its all-electric pickup truck, the Cybertruck. Elon Musk was all-praises to the Cybertruck and even conducted a tug-of war challenge against the popular Ford F-150. But, other automakers would not let Tesla steal all the spotlight, and it looks like the industry is going to see seven all-electric pickup trucks coming soon.

The Nikola Badger pickup truck is, by far, the one that offers the best range. It boasts 600 miles using battery power sources and fuel cell hydrogen. But, without the FCEV hydrogen, the Badger has a range of approximately 300 miles, which is still superior compared to that of the Lordstown Motor's Endurance at 250.

Another pickup truck arriving soon is that coming from Bollinger Motors, the B2 pickup truck. The fully electric pickup truck was unveiled in October. Industry giant Ford also announced that it would release the electric counterpart of its popular Ford F-150. However, it has not yet revealed the specs of its upcoming electric pickup truck.

Other Details

The iconic Hummer will also have an electric counterpart after GMC confirmed the rumors and announced the truck last Jan. 2020. So far, we know that the electric Hummer will offer zero to 60 miles per hour time. Apart from these, the industry is also waiting for the arrival of the all-electric pickup truck from the startup company Rivian.

The Rivian R1T, which is backed by Ford and Amazon, has been stealing some of the spotlights from the Tesla Cybertruck. According to the company, the smallest battery of the R1T will provide 230 miles while its highest battery could offer up to 400 miles. Earlier, Tesla revealed that the Cybertruck Pick up Truck would offer an extensive range based on the type of the motor.

The Cybretruck with a single motor version offers a range of 250 miles, its dual-motor version offers 300 miles, while the tri-motor variant is capable of up to 500 miles.
