Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Melania Trump and Donald Trump's marriage has made to the headlines recently when a celebrity host seemingly mocked the First Couple's relationship. This comes after the First Lady's coronavirus test results came out negative.
According to The Daily Beast, Jimmy Kimmel deemed the couple's marriage as the "inventor of social distancing." The celebrity host made his comments after explaining that Melania's negative COVID-19 test is not surprising. He reportedly said that it will certainly be negative considering that she has been "six feet away" from her husband "since Stormy Daniels."
Through the years, especially after officially becoming the First Couple of the United States, Melania Trump and Donald Trump's marriage has been repeatedly placed in the spotlight. Many individuals believe that they are not truly "in love," and that Melania needs saving from her husband. Hence, the hashtag, #SaveMelania.
Several reports noted many instances in the past wherein the couple, notably, Donald Trump seemingly forgets to show affection toward his wife. These include the many times he forgot that he is with his wife, leaving her behind while she struggles to keep up.
Despite all of the speculations toward their marriage, there were also some individuals who reportedly claimed that the First Couple is very "affectionate" to each other. It was also said that they just tend to be private when it comes to these matters.
But, with Jimmy Kimmel's words - "since Stormy Daniels," this reportedly caused the previously alleged "fling" of Melania Trump's husband to resurface. As stated by other publications, Stormy Daniels was the adult film star who publicly spoke about her affiliations with the then billionaire mogul.
As per BBC News, the whole narrative of the alleged affair between Stormy and the now-US President is very "important" since this had something to do with the allegations made toward Donald during his campaign in the 2016 presidential election. It was revealed that payments were made to the adult film star before the campaign started, which may have likely affected the whole results of the election.
As it happened, Stormy Daniels exposed her alleged affair with Donald Trump in 2011. She reportedly claimed that, in 2006, she and Trump had sexual contact, just a few months after Melania Trump gave birth to their son, Barron Trump.
While no clear evidence was presented, several individuals believed that this whole alleged affair has caused a rift between the First Couple since then.
