It seems like everyone is currently bored out of their minds due to the mandatory self-quarantine to avoid of the spread of the Coronavirus outbreak. On the other hand, some people are finding interesting ways to pass the time while self-isolating amidst COVID-19. For instance, Hoshi of SEVENTEEN has been spending a lot of time in the studio learning how to record new music. His latest work has been a sweet cover of the Sam Kim song 'Scent'.

This isn't the first time that Hoshi has been playing around in the studio. The leader of SEVENTEEN's Performance Unit has previously recorded several random songs and have been sharing the tracks on the group's official Twitter account. It all started with a short recording that has been dubbed 'Horanghae' and Kwon Soonyoung has since been finding more time in Woozi's studio. Needless to say, Carats were delighted to know that the idol is having fun despite not being to go anywhere amidst COVID-19.

One of Hoshi's more popular posts has been his cover of the Day6 song 'You Were Beautiful'. In the video, Kwon Soonyoung played his version of the track while showing the handwritten lyrics on his notepad. The video concludes with a sweet message from the Performance Unit leader. Interestingly, fellow SEVENTEEN member DK also did a cover of a Day6 tune a few hours before Hoshi shared his video.

Although most of Hoshi's recordings have been very energetic, the most recent Twitter post was a sweet one that was meant to be a lullaby for his fans. This time, Kwon Soonyoung chose to cover Sam Kim's 'Scent' and dedicated it to Carats, bidding them good night. The unexpected choice of song clearly moved fans so much and Hoshi's sweet rendition of the tune left them emotional. Needless to say, this was one cover that Carats simply can't get enough of.

It has already been revealed that Hoshi as well as the other SEVENTEEN unit leaders Woozi and S.Coups are spending a lot of time in the studio amidst COVID-19. Not surprisingly, this has led to speculations that all three are hard at work on a new SVT Leaders song for the group's next album. However, this has yet to be confirmed by the idols themselves.

SEVENTEEN is currently preparing for their Japanese Dome Tour later this year. Their second Japanese single 'Fallin' Flower' will be released on April 1.
