Meghan Markle reportedly has a pile of works in waiting after she officially steps down as a senior member of the royal family. Aside from her voiceover work for Disney's documentary, Elephant, there are also rumors that she is about to revive her Hollywood career. However, the Sussexes' recent move to Los Angeles seems to show that she has a different plan and it is not returning to acting.
The Duchess of Sussex reportedly accepted the Disney voiceover work in exchange for a donation to the charity Elephants Without Borders. With their charitable works, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still believed to launch their own non-profit organization. Although it will never bear the word "royal anymore," it is understood to be an international one.
In a report by Page Six, as noted by Daily Express, the couple asked the help of the charity world's top figure, Catherine St-Laurent, to lead their new enterprise. They reportedly hired to be their nonprofit venture's chief of staff and executive director.
St-Laurent is the director of Melinda Gates' women and families' foundation, Pivotal Ventures, and shared the news about her new work for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in an email to her colleagues. She said that after nine years of being with the Melinda Gates and Pivotal Ventures, she is now about to begin a new chapter of her organization works. So, she wanted to assure that her pals would get her contact info so that they could stay in touch.
In the coming week, St-Laurent revealed that she would be the new chief of staff and executive director of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new enterprise. As these royals are about to begin a new chapter of their lives themselves, she was happy to announce that she would be playing a supporting role to realize their vision and help them achieve an "impact on issues that matter to them the most."
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new foundation is said to break the traditional charity model. An insider revealed that it would be far from the conventional charity that everyone knows. "Harry and Meghan want to find their own way of giving back and new ways to make a change," the source added.
Meanwhile, a different tipster told Us Weekly that Meghan Markle has "heaps of projects in the works" after leaving the monarchy. She is also said to write another recipe book after the success of her 2018 Grenfell charity work with Together: Our Community Cookbook. She also shows interest in reviving her inactive lifestyle blog, The Tig, which she deactivated after the announcement of her engagement with Prince Harry.
