Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should be back in London to support the British royal family during this pandemic. Meghan's dad, Thomas Markle, believes that the Sussexes should not have settled in Los Angeles during this time.
Speaking with Daily Mirror, Thomas said the Prince Harry and Meghan must fly back to England instead of staying in California. If they worry about making money since they are no longer working royals, Meghan's father said that it will still be easy for Prince Harry and Meghan to find jobs after the pandemic is over.
However, it will be hard for the royal pair to earn some respect based on their choice to be separated from the royal family. Thomas believes that his daughter and the Duke of Sussex will lose some stature compared to when they were full-time working royals.
Prince Harry and Meghan have moved out of their rented Vancouver, Canada home and flown to Los Angeles last week just as President Donald Trump ordered to close the borders to stop the spread of the virus. The royal couple apparently took a private jet to fly to the airport and they have been staying in a secluded Los Angeles compound while the quarantine orders are in place.
Despite his criticism of Prince Harry and Meghan, Thomas is still hoping that the Duchess of Sussex will get in touch with him soon. The former Hollywood lighting director said that he is also vulnerable to the coronavirus because of his age and health issues.
Thomas said that he is in the high-risk category. In fact, according to Fox News, Thomas has been having a cold for the last two months but he insisted it is not coronavirus. If given the chance to talk to his daughter, the father said that he will tell Prince Harry and Meghan that he loves them because, as this pandemic has shown, life is "too short and unpredictable."
Thomas and Meghan have been estranged from each other since 2018 after he connived with the paparazzi for some exclusive photos despite the warnings from his son-in-law. The stress of this whole controversy led to his heart attack thus he was unable to attend Meghan's wedding to Prince Harry. Thomas has also never met his grandson, Archie Harrison.
Meghan's dad admitted he made a huge mistake about being in cahoots with the British tabloid press but he thinks Prince Harry and Meghan should forgive him. He said that, ultimately, his grandson will need to know about his other grandfather.
