Star Wars fans are undoubtedly delighted now that Ahsoka Tano has been brought back in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7. After all, everyone has been hoping to catch up on the former padawan after she decided to leave the Jedi Order behind in the fifth season. But is it possible that Ahsoka is being seduced by the Dark Side of the Force? The latest episode of the animated show's final season has just shown Ahsoka breaking a major Jedi rule and it could mean she could be in trouble.
In the previous episode Gone With A Trace, Ahsoka Tano appeared to be trying to distance herself from her past and hid her identity as a former Jedi. On the other hand, this proved to be more difficult than it seemed. At one point, Ahsoka's new friends were in trouble when the droids they were supposed to fix turned out to be prone to violence. To deactivate the violent droids, Ahsoka used the Force although her companion had no idea about this.
It was obvious that she was still connected to the Force but that doesn't mean she still plays by the rules. In Deal No Deal, Ahsoka Tano continued to work with her new friend Trace Martez and Trace's sister Rafa. When they were sent off on a dangerous mission to deliver a load of spice to the Pykes, Ahsoka feared that the space gangsters would take the loot and steal their ship as well. Her fears almost come true when they lose the spice and are left with nothing to negotiate with the Pykes with.
Interestingly, Ahsoka Tano did something that has happened in almost every major Star Wars story. The former padawan used the Jedi mind trick to convince the Pykes to still pay them in credit although they didn't have the spice. The act would save their lives and allow them some time to escape. Unfortunately, it also meant that Ahsoka broke a major Jedi rule.
Although the Jedi mind trick is pretty common, the Jedi generally use it as long as it doesn't mean any personal gain. In Ahsoka's case in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 6, she used the trick to rob the Pykes. Needless to say, it's a shocking move and some fans are already concerned that this could mean Ahsoka could end up in the Dark Side.
