Frank Lampard has been doing the necessary adjustments with Chelsea FC but not all are drawing raves. That includes his decision to drop Kepa Arrizabalaga as the team's goalkeeper for his poor showing. Regardless, some believe that the 41-year-old manager should give the Spanish goalkeeper a second look.

Lampard opted to switch goalkeepers in February, opting to use Willy Caballero in place of Kepa. He admits that it was not an easy decision to make but needed players who were at their best. Caballero responded to the Blues manager's call and has since been the guy Lampard has been using. Now, most are trying to figure out what the future holds for Kepa, the world's most expensive goalkeeper.

Chelsea took in Kepa back in 2018 to take the place of Thibaut Courtois. The Blues paid $85 million for Kepa's release clause in his contract and critics feel that this is one reason why most are not too happy with the benching of the 25-year-old goalkeeper. But it would be best to note that Lampard has hinted that the move is only temporary. For now, he wants to go with the most effective unit and things could change at some point moving forward.

With most left to wait on when Kepa will be back as the starting goalie for Chelsea FC, rumors are now swirling that Spanish player could be on the way out. Further thickening the plot are allegations that Lampard is reportedly not too impressed with Kepa's talents. There are some names mentioned as potential targets such as Andre Onana and Nick Pope.

Nothing is set in stone but perhaps Lampard may want to heed the advice of a former Chelsea player. Mark Bosnich spoke to Goal.com recently and believes Kepa has shown resiliency but has had his struggles this season. And if he were in the place of Lampard, Bosnich would have likely done the same in temporarily placing Kepa on hold.

But Bosnich warns that there is perhaps only one possibility that could cut Kepa's ties with Chelsea. This would be only if there is a disagreement between a player and a coach, one that will likely lead to an eventual split. So far, nothing of the like has been mentioned meaning both may be trying to feel each other out for now.

Aware of Kepa's potential, Bosnich feels that Lampard should not give up on the Spaniard just yet. Kepa is young and full of promise and a player who can have bad days and commit mistakes.
