The Premier League is indefinitely suspended and some players are clueless on what the future holds. For guys like Thomas Meunier, a concern is what and where their next contract would be. Though he is aware that he has options, the 28-year-old defender prefers to stay in Paris.

Meunier has seen his name frequent transfer talk rumors although nothing has gone beyond that. He has appeared in only 15 Ligue 1 games for Paris Saint-Germain, sending off mixed signals that he may be playing sparingly and for the wrong team. Among the teams who could provide him more exposure include Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham, teams that could make a move on him in the next transfer window, Goal.com reported.

As of this writing, only Dortmund and Bayern Munich have had talks with the full-back. The list of potential teams interested in him is aplenty. Not yet mentioned are Arsenal and Manchester United, proof that the Belgian remains a top player that multiple teams are targeting. But the better question is whether Meunier is truly bent on leaving PSG.

"A free, international player, who plays in the FIFA ranked world’s No.1 team (Belgium) and who is 28 years old, it cannot be a bad buy, even if I get gangrene and I have to cut off a leg!" Meunier said to RTBF. “Clubs don’t have much to lose in the investment, and I think they know it. They have everything to gain."

Meunier will likely see first the offers on the table. Until that happens, he seems to have no qualms suiting up for PSG. Such is understandable considering it was here where he started his career back in 2016. So far, the Belgian defender has made 111 appearances in all competitions and has scored eight goals. With PSG, he has also won two Ligue 1 winner's medals to his credit.

Also, it would be worthy to note that PSG top brass Thomas Tuchel considering Meunier a key piece for Les Parisiens. He is aware that there are multiple teams interested in the 28-year-old player but it appears he will not be amenable to it unless it is an offer that would be tough to refuse.

That said, Meunier seems set for a hefty raise after this season with the highest bidder likely to win his services. However, expect PSG to make it hard on them considering they could match any offer if the Belgian is truly that valuable to the club.
