James Rodriguez is one of the forgotten players over in Real Madrid, but the 28-year-old midfielder knows he has options. It has been a forgetful stint with the Los Blancos for him, but the good news is that he has multiple teams in pursuit.

James is under contract until 2021 but most believe that he will be moving out of Real soon, Marca reported. Among the teams who have been linked to the Colombian include Arsenal, Everton and Wolverhampton, each pretty much inclined to try and lure the midfielder to their fold.

Wolverhampton is seen by many as the favorite to pry him away from Los Blancos, mainly because his agent holds close ties with the Wolves. However, the two other teams are practically on the same vote. The Gunners have tried to get James in the past and it appears that despite being turned down, they are still pretty much interested in getting him to their side.

Everton also makes sense since the Toffees are handled by former manager Carlo Ancelloti. Like Arsenal and Wolves, he too has been trying to pluck the 28-year-old out of Real - a team where some feel he does not have a future.

Former Colombian legend Carlos Valderrama believes that James is wasting his time waiting for a break over at Real Madrid. By now, he said in a radio interview that James is old enough to make decisions and should be fully aware that he could make a difference with other teams who value his talent.

"If it was me, I'd be running away from Madrid. He's good enough to play for any team. I wouldn't doubt for an instant. He's a great player, he's already proved it. He can start for any other team, he's got the quality to play anywhere in the world,"
said the 58-year-old old legend.

It has been a forgettable stint for James in Real Madrid. He has made only 13 appearances thus far, and the chances of him cracking the regular lineup are not looking pretty good. Adding more fuel to the fire is the fact that Valderrama believes that Zinedine Zidane does not want the Colombian midfielder in the fold.

At some point, James will have to decide on which team to join. With the Premier League on break, he could use the time off to weigh the pros and cons of joining each club. Considering the COVID-19 situation is far from getting resolved, James has all the time in the world to make the right call.
