One player who won't have to worry that much with the Premier League season shrouded with uncertainty is Tino Anjorin of Chelsea FC. The 18-year-old came to terms with the club, agreeing to a deal that would keep him in Chelsea until 2025.

Considered one of the best players of the next generation, the deal comes not long after his debut for the Blues. It was a bit of a sigh of relief for the young footballer who had just 15 months left in his previous pact. Though he has yet to sign on the dotted line, both camps have already verbally agreed in principle, Goal.com reported.

The signing also means that Anjorin is one of the few players who have made the grade under Frank Lampard. The 41-year-old manager has been getting his share of criticism for holding out key players and utilizing young players instead. A reason for this is that Lampard wants only the best players seeing action during games and Anjorin is one of them.

Anjorin caught a break before play was suspended with Chelsea dealing with injuries to key players. He made his debut against Everton where Chelsea won 4-0. Unfortunately, play was suspended with several football personalities tested positive for COVID-19.

"I want to be scoring, I want to be creating," Anjorin said in an interview. "In five years' time, I want to be a leader in the team, helping the younger academy kids to come through, where they can look up to me too and thrive as well."

Other players who have expiring deals are likely to be next. With no games set to be played, Lampard is likely to address the future of other Blues players. Among those due for contract renewals are Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Reece James, Fikayo Tomori, Billy Gilmour, Ian Maatsen, Armando Broja, and Jamie Cumming.

Most footballers are now confined to their homes as a preventive measure. Some have been given programs to stay in shape and for others to work on their shortcomings while on break. And while the youngsters are getting their attention, some veterans could be angling to get out.

Among the ones who are gone include Tariq Lamptey and Clinton Mola. The fate of Kepa Arrizabala remains up in the air even if Lampard says they are keeping the world's most expensive goalkeeper. Lampard is also targeting some players in the next transfer window like Jadon Sancho of Dortmund and Timo Werner of RB Leipzig. The Blues manager has quite a lot on his list as he tries to whip Chelsea into fighting shape for next season.
