Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi officially announced their engagement in September. While many royal fans were very excited as they all look forward to witnessing the big event, several things happened in the last few months which reportedly led to the alleged repeated delays of her wedding.

Shortly after sharing the good news to the public, the British Royal Family, especially the York household was lambasted due to Prince Andrew's "disastrous" interview about his affiliations with the late Jeffrey Epstein. It was also said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's "bombshell" documentary in October had huge impacts on the York Princess' wedding preparations.

There were allegations then claiming that Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi had to cancel their engagement party several times because of the said events. In December, though, sources revealed that they were able to go through with the party but, without the Duke of York's presence. Plus, it was reportedly very private.

According to Express UK, many were expecting that the details of their wedding will be announced by January. However, everyone was shocked after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they plan to step down from their positions and live outside the British Monarchy.

Although no confirmations were made, many are certain that this caused a huge delay in Princess Beatrice's wedding. A month later, though, it was made official that her wedding day is set to happen on May 29.

Amid the preparations, many were quick to notice that her wedding is far different from what her sister, Princess Eugenie had in 2018, or any other royal had in previous years. Instead of the usual grand and extravagant celebrations, it was said that they intended to have a small, untelevised, and private wedding.

Several weeks later, COVID-19 has infected a lot of British individuals, which has led to several deaths. The once epidemic in Asia has become a pandemic that inflicted a lot of struggles and challenges in almost all parts of the globe. Not to mention, Italy has been hit the hardest, which is where Edo's family and friends are located.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi had to cancel the reception of their wedding. It remains unknown if they are to cancel their wedding ceremony too.

Royal experts and commentators recently shared that they are reviewing their options. She was then branded as the "unluckiest princess in the world" because of these series of unfortunate events that caused their wedding to get delays again and again.

In the end, it was asserted that they might postpone the wedding until 2021. But, until further notice, it is believed that they might still push through with the wedding on May 29.
