Melania Trump has been quite active in reaching out to individuals amid the COVID-19 pandemic. As the lockdown in the United States extends until the end of the month, officials across the country are doing their best efforts to respond to the crisis, including the First Lady.

After the release of Melania's PSA videos on various social media platforms, reports revealed that she has been calling some of her counterparts in other countries. On Friday, she, reportedly, called the French First Lady, Brigitte Macron.

According to Express UKMelania Trump called her French counterpart to "express" her condolences to all French people who lost their lives due to COVID-19. While the entirety of the phone call's subject was not revealed to the public, the White House said that the First Ladies also talked about the ties and relationships between the two countries with each other.

In the issued statement, it was said that the US First Lady also "reassured" the country "stands" with France and its people amid this trying time. The US President's wife then, reportedly, shared "optimism" that both countries will "get through" this crisis "together."

In the end, Melania Trump and Brigitte Macron were said to continue to keep in touch with each other. As noted, the United States and France "work together" to fight and ultimately defeat the pandemic that has already infected over 1.27 million individuals all over the world.

Today, COVID-19 has, reportedly, affected 333,017 lives in the US and 92,839 in France. The death tolls are also significant in numbers as both countries have tallied over 9,500 and 8,000 deaths, respectively.

Prior to Melania Trump's phone call with the French First Lady, Vanity Fair reported that she also had a phone call with the Canadian First Lady, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau. It was said that the US First Lady reached out to Justin Trudeau's wife after her recovery from the virus.

Unfortunately, the Prime Minister's wife contracted the virus earlier in March. This, reportedly, left the Canadian leader to take care of the family while Sophie observed quarantine alone in their Ottawa residence.

But, aside from "checking in" with her Canadian counterpart, Melania Trump also, reportedly, "conveyed" the importance of the "strong economic ties" between Canada and the United States.

As of the time of writing, there are over 15,500 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the commonwealth country. While the number is quite significant, the death toll in Canada is unlike the United States' since the tally is reported to be at 277.
