Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially stepped down as senior royals two months after they announced that they will be withdrawing from their roles. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex then moved to Canada before transferring to Los Angeles, where they are currently living with their son Archie.
LA expert Jeetendr Sehdev said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s brand had always been disruptive. The author of “The Kim Kardashian Principe” shared that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “going to show us all a different way in which royal family members can live.”
“The closest comparison to Meghan and Harry will be the Obamas and what they’re actually doing, I mean they’ve created an entertainment entity where they’re producing documentaries and I think that will be a similar route that Meghan and Harry can certainly take,” he said. “Letting people into who they are – because at the moment we don’t really know who Meghan and Harry are. We just know that they’re part of the royal family.”
In their withdrawal announcement, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle mentioned that they wish to be “financially independent” as they start their new life outside the Royal family. Although they still receive funds from Prince Charles and the Duchy of Cornwall, the couple needs to find sources of income.
Previous reports revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be creating their own TV firm. Rumor has it that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be providing voiceovers and producing documentaries on “worthy causes,” and this is where they will be earning their money.
“The sorts of deals they will do will be more along the lines of the documentary series the Duke is executive producing on mental health for Apple TV,” a source told the MailOnline. “It’s a new model, admittedly, but they are determined to prove to the family that this can work.”
However, a report claims that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are running out of funding. A royal insider claimed that the Duchess of Sussex is “terrified” of their “financial nightmare.”
"This debt is a blow to their ambitious plan to become freewheeling billionaires in the world,” the insider said. "Meghan is terrified that her dreams of being a Hollywood queen will be destroyed by this financial nightmare and she is insisting that Harry make a move and resolve the crisis."
The tipster pointed out that it would be hard for Prince Harry to find a job due to his lack of experience.
