Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are not going to be immune to financial difficulties as a global crisis looms due to the coronavirus pandemic. A royal expert shared that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have trouble footing their expensive security bill since they have yet to pursue some ventures.

According to Omid Scobie in the Heir Pod podcast, Prince Harry and Meghan are unable to work on their next plans because the coronavirus is preventing them from going out and meeting people. Scobie said that it's also tough for these royals as no one knows when the pandemic will end thus it's unclear how they would be able to foot their high-profile lifestyle with their $4.5 million a year security bill and other expenses.

Reports stated that Prince Charles will be paying half of their security cost, which will come from his private income in the Duchy of Cornwall. However, a spokesperson for the Prince of Wales also said that this income is not an infinite source of money thus Prince Harry and Meghan will still need to figure out a way to support their new lifestyle in Los Angeles.

While working as senior members of the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan received money from the Sovereign Grant and enjoyed the privilege of never needing to pay for their official travels and other expenses. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also do not earn a private income as senior working royals.

In leaving their royal roles, Prince Harry and Meghan said that they would like to pursue other ventures, including commercial ones that would allow them to earn some income. But since moving to Los Angeles at the end of March, Prince Harry and Meghan have yet to launch their next plans.

The couple themselves set aside this launch because the world is focused on just one thing these days. Like everyone, the Sussexes also hope that the coronavirus threat would soon be over.

However, Prince Harry and Meghan did reveal that their new venture's name would be called Archewell. The couple said that further details to this new organization will be unveiled at the right time but they had to confirm it is coming since there are public records already in place for their new brand, which people could easily check.

The name Archewell is inspired by their first-born son, Archie Harrison. The word "Arche" is of Greek origin, which means a source of action.
