Blindspot season 5 is coming later this month on NBC and this will the final installment of the Jaimie Alexander-led series. The show has been off-air for about a year, so many were excited to see what will happen in the final chapter. This will be a thrilling one and some lives might be lost entering the premiere, largely because of the explosion on the safe house.

NBC released a few details about what to expect in Blindspot season 5, and it will pick up the events happened in the previous installment. The final chapter starts in the aftermath of the explosion, wherein Jane witnessed a drone striking on the safe house with the rest of the team inside. One of the questions here is: who made it out alive?

The fourth installment left viewers with a huge cliffhanger, in which a massive explosion has seemingly taken the lives of many of the people closest to Jane. Some of them may not make it out alive, while others will probably survive. This is a difficult moment for Jane, especially since she was left watching when the drone strikes on the safe house.

Blindspot season 5 will also see the team trying to clear their names in the wake of Madeline's rise to power. This particular storyline might be the forefront for the rest of the season, and we're going to see more of Madeline's plan over time. What's also unique about the final run is that it starts from the bottom, which means the premiere brings chaos rather than peace.

When the premiere of Blindspot season 5 arrives, the characters will be in an entirely different situation. The series starts with uncertainties, and as time goes by, we're going to see Jane and Weller moving towards peace. And since this is the final installment, some of the loose ends will be tied and some characters will have a satisfying ending as well.

As for the release date, NBC confirmed that Blindspot season 5 will be arriving on Thursday, Apr. 30, with a new timeslot at 10 PM Eastern Time. And then starting on May 7, the series shifts in a different direction and will be airing every Thursday night at 9 PM for the rest of the season. Reportedly, this will allow the show to generate solid ratings and will also help the network as there aren't a lot of programming options.
