Unlike other players with expiring deals, Diego Carlos has little to no reason to leave Sevilla. The 27-year-old center-back has been doing well with Los Nervionenses but such has not stopped multiple teams from possibly pitching for his services.

Most of the interest in Carlos has been coming from the rumor mill. According to him, no offers have been officially made. His agent has not brought up any potential deals coming his way and he made it clear that he only wants to talk about such matters if they are worth discussing. Instead, his main focus is playing his best for Sevilla and this has been one of the reasons why the team is doing well.

"My agent doesn't talk to me about those situations. I am not interested in knowing about other teams. I always tell him that if he is going to tell me something, it must be something firm, that he does not come to me with stories because I must focus on Sevilla. I don't want those things to cause a distraction," he said.

Before football action was halted, Sevilla was at the third spot of the La Liga table. Carlos has appeared in 31 games this season and seems to be enjoying every minute of it, Goal.com reported. He has little to no reason to leave. But if something does come up, especially by the next transfer window, the Brazilian has already set the bar. It would take a much bigger team than his current one to move out of Los Palanganas.

"Coming to Seville is already taking a very big leap. If I ever leave Sevilla, it would be to go to a much bigger club, because Sevilla is already great," Carlos said to Mucho Deporte.

From the way he sounded, Carlos has not much room to complain or even consider moving to another club. Carlos is destined to be among the great players in the football world facing among the best there is right now. When asked who among the crop he remembers best, Carlos singled out Edinson Cavani of Paris Sant-Germain and Luis Suarez of Barcelona.

"Cavani. He is very strong, he hits from anywhere, he never stops, he gives the defense a lot of work, he always went back to help his team-mates, despite his age," Carlos said. "Suarez. He is very intelligent, very expert. He knows how to position himself when he receives the ball and the defenders must be careful."

For now, Carlos is one of many players in self-quarantine. There is no telling when games will resume or if they will finish the current season at all.
