Queen Elizabeth II is known for her love of dogs, and some members of the royal family have the same passion. Prince William and Kate Middleton have their own dog at home, and Meghan Markle is also famous for her love of canines even before she married Prince Harry. Now that they are all in self-isolation due to the coronavirus outbreak and lockdown, they will surely never feel alone and bored with their furry friends. So, meet their royal hounds.

Queen Elizabeth II

Of course, on the top of the list is Her Majesty herself. The monarch has 30 corgis throughout her reign, and she started having one when she was only 18 years old, thanks to Princess Elizabeth II. She loves her dogs so much that she even brought them on her honeymoon with Prince Philip, Hello! Magazine noted.

The leader of the Commonwealth calls her dogs her "family," and they are all pampered pooches that also go with her on royal tours. They are also included in one of her official 90th birthday portraits. However, her last corgi, Susan, died in 2018, but she still has two dorgis, Candy and Vulcan, corgi-dachshund crossed breeds, and one of them is seen with her at the back of her car while going to Windsor Castle to self-isolate.

The Cambridge Family

Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal dog, Lupo, has been around longer than their kids. He joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on beach walks and was often seen at polo matches.

However, when Prince George and Princess Charlotte arrived, Lupo took the backseat. But, he made an appearance on Prince George's third birthday photos and began his own adventure with The Adventures of Lupo children's books.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry

Meghan Markle had two dogs, Guy and Bogart, before she joined the royal family. Sadly, when she relocated to the United Kingdom in 2017 after she got engaged to Prince Harry, she was only able to bring one of them, Guy, her rescued beagle.

Bogart was too old to make the transatlantic journey, so he was, reportedly, adopted by one of her friends. Anyhow, when she was finally settled in the U.K., the former actress took a new dog with Prince Harry, although details about the pooch were never revealed.

The royal family's royal dogs are believed to be living a posh life and eating the lavish dog food there is. But, Business Times recently reported that Queen Elizabeth is feeding her pooches with basic dog food from Tesco. Although she can feed her canines with the most expensive dog food, she chooses to give them the ordinary one.
