Katharine McPhee and her husband David Foster are, reportedly, trying to take advantage of the coronavirus pandemic to have their first baby. The couple is, allegedly, trying to start their family while practicing self-isolation at their home.
According to OK!, the musician couple has found a silver lining to what is happening in the world because of coronavirus. The tabloid quoted a source as saying since Foster and McPhee have put all their professional plans on hold, they instead using their time together to have a baby. The tabloid added that despite the couple's 34-year age difference, the multi-awarded musician has the intention to have children with his new wife.
"Dave says he knew what he was getting into when he married someone so much younger than him. He isn't about to tell Katherine she wouldn't be able to experience the joys of motherhood," the insider said.
While it's true that McPhee wants to have children with Foster, a spokesperson for the singer-turned-actress laughed off the speculation. Her rep told Gossip Cop that the couple is not using the quarantine to have a baby.
Gossip Cop noted that this is not the first time OK! made a false claim about the couple. In January 2019, it also reported that Foster and McPhee were having a $50 million wedding.
In July 2019, the same publication claimed that the Scorpion actress turned down an offer to be on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. OK! alleged that Bravo execs wanted McPhee to replace Lisa Vanderpump.
However, the actress, allegedly, rejected the offer after discussing it with her husband. Gossip Cop debunked the story at the time, saying McPhee was never approached by Bravo to join the show.
David and McPhee first met when she was a contestant on American Idol Season 5 in 2006. Rumors that they were dating started in May 2017 when they were spotted together in Malibu.
The 70-year-old Grammy-winning music executive and McPhee got married in June 2019. Foster has been married five times. He was previously married to B.J. Cook, Rebecca Dyer, Linda Thompson, and Gigi and Bella Hadid's mother, Yolanda Hadid. The Asia's Got Talent judge has five biological daughters and seven grandchildren.
As for McPhee, this is her second marriage. The AI Season 5 runner-up was previously married to Nick Cokas from 2008 to 2016. She also dated her Scorpion co-star Elyes Gabel for almost two years before they broke up in 2016.
