Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are set to tie the knot on May 29. Earlier this year, it was officially announced that the ceremony will take place in St James's Palace, which will be followed by a reception hosted by the Queen inside Buckingham Palace. However, due to the current crisis that the United Kingdom is facing, as well as the rest of the world, many are convinced that the royal event will be postponed.

No further details have been shared yet before the public. Nevertheless, it was confirmed that the reception will no longer happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Express UK, the wedding of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi marks a very shocking "turning point." Aside from the fact that it has been bombarded with several controversies, royal experts noted that it will likely serve as the "last royal wedding" for at least a decade.

Royal expert, Marlene Koenig shared with the publication that this is true for the British Royal Family. As explained, all of the royals are either married already or still underage.

All of the Queen's grandchildren are already married except for Princess Beatrice, Lady Louise, and James, Viscount Severn. The two latter royals. who are children of the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Prince Edward and Sophie, are both under the age of 18. This leaves the York Princess as she is already engaged.

The same is also true for Queen Elizabeth II's great-grandchildren as they are all either toddlers or young kids. Accordingly, the eldest Princess of York's wedding will be the last royal wedding that the public will witness for at least a decade.

New Idea also released a similar report about the matter. As stated, this not only applies to the British Royal Family but, rather to all royal families across Europe.

The Crown Princess of Belgium, Elisabeth just reportedly turned 18-years-old a few months ago. Aside from her, the rest of the future queens from different European royal families are aged below 18.

These include The Netherland's Princess Catharina-Amalia, 16, Norway's Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 16, Princess Leonor of Asturias, 14, and Sweden's Princess Estelle, 8. So, after Princess Beatrice's wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, it will likely take a decade or more before another European royal announces a royal wedding to happen.

It is worth noting, though, that while the York Princess is already set to get married, it remains uncertain whether they will push through with the ceremony this year. But, other royal commentators and experts claimed that they will postpone it until 2021.
