The White House has announced that the White House Press Secretary, Stephanie Grisham will be "rejoining" the East Wing as she will become Melania Trump's new Chief of Staff and Spokesperson. This reportedly comes after Lindsay Reynolds, the First Lady's Chief of Staff of more than three years resigned from the post.

According to NBC News, Reynolds resigned earlier this week due to personal reasons. It was said that the President's wife announced that she now intends to "spend more time" with her family.

Melania Trump also reportedly shared in a statement that she is "excited" to welcome Stephanie Grisham "back to the team" in her new role. She then pointed out that Grisham has been a "mainstay" in the administration since the first day.

While she claimed that Grisham will "excel" in this new role in the East Wing, she reportedly said that she appreciates her former Chief of Staff and all of her efforts in the last three years. The First Lady then ended the statement by wishing Lindsay Reynolds well in her "future endeavors."

The publication also reported that Melania even shared her excitement on her social media account when she tweeted about the new changes in the East Wing. As per her post, she said she is "looking forward" to working with Stephanie Grisham again and promote her initiative, "#BeBest" while they continue to preserve the White House, as well as their service to the "great nation."

Aside from Melania Trump's statements, her new Chief of Staff and Spokesperson also released a separate statement stating that she continues to be "honored" in serving both the President, Donald Trump and her wife in the current administration. It was then reported that she will stay in the West Wing for a while for a "smooth transition."

The earlier reports were followed by CNN News' revealing that Kayleigh McEnany will replace Stephanie Grisham as the White House Press Secretary. It was noted that she served as Trump's campaign spokeswoman for the 2020 presidential election.

Sources also reportedly claimed that there has been a huge "shakeup" in the communications team. As stated, it was likely due to the Deputy Communications Director, Jessica Ditto's "abrupt" resignation last week.

Meanwhile, Melania Trump's new Chief of Staff was revealed to be a campaign aide once during the 2016 Presidential Election. After Trump's presidency became official, Stephani Grisham became the Deputy Press Secretary under the tenure of the former Press Secretary, Sean Spicer.
