Prince Andrew has been keeping things low key ever since he stepped back from his royal duties last November. The Duke of York, however, made a rare public appearance on Instagram as he was pictured helping his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson prepare some care packages for the frontliners at hospitals and centers treating and caring for COVID-19 patients.

The photo of Prince Andrew with Fergie was shared on the social media account of Fergie's assistant, Antonia Marshall. She had at least 10 photos showing the Duke and Duchess of York working together to fill the care packages with goodies and treats.

In one photo, Prince Andrew was actually at the entrance of the Thames Hospice to drop off the bags. Marshall said that the York family has been a "wonderful and steadfast unit" as they do their part in this global crisis.

The Yorks have been distributing care packages to various hospitals since the middle of March. Even their daughters' partners have been taking part and helping out as well to make sure that the frontliners receive their gifts and know that they are appreciated.

Prince Andrew and Fergie managed to maintain a good relationship despite their divorce in the 1990s. The pair actually share the same house at the Royal Lodge in Windsor and co-parented Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Since November, however, Prince Andrew has been shunning the royal limelight because of his disastrous BBC interview about his ties to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In February, Buckingham Palace decided not to hold a special birthday celebration for Prince Andrew's 60th year. His promotion in the military service has also been deferred.

The Duke of York denied in the interview that he did anything wrong by being friends with Epstein for more than a decade. His accuser Virginia Giuffre claimed that they had sexual relations more than once because of his friendship with Epstein. The woman said that she was still a minor when she slept with Prince Andrew.

Epstein's case is still under investigation in the United States and Prince Andrew said that he will be willing to cooperate with the FBI as Epstein can no longer face the courts. The sex offender committed suicide while in prison and awaiting his trial for sex trafficking.

The Duke of York may face the possibility of being asked to go to the U.S. to give clarity to the Epstein case. However, Prince Andrew has hired the best extradition lawyers to defend him.
