Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, are apparently fond of bringing their own bottles of alcohol when they are traveling. There's a good reason behind this though, according to one royal expert.

Gordon Rayner, who has been following the royals for close to two decades for his work as a journalist, said that Prince Charles and Camilla like to bring their own stash of drinks on trips because they are being careful. Apparently, they don't want their alcohol to be spiked so to prevent that risk, they have their bodyguards carry the drinks for them.

The heir to throne apparently enjoys a mug of Laphroaig malt, which comes from his farm in Highgrove. He also has his own whiskey brand, which can actually be bought at his own small shop in Gloucestershire.

Camilla, on the other hand, fancies drinking red wine. On some occasions, Prince Charles also indulges a glass of gin and tonic with her. The royal pair, however, are not big alcoholic drinkers but they do engage in the occasional social drinking.

Prince Charles and Camilla, however, might have likely toasted with a bottle of wine when they celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on April 9. The Prince of Wales and his wife have been staying in Birkhall, Scotland to isolate and follow government guidelines on social distancing.

The royal couple took to Instagram to thank their well-wishers and they also showed a slide of some of their best memories of their last 15 years of marriage. One of these photos included a clip of the couple dancing together for their 10th wedding anniversary at the Dumfries House. The Prince of Wales and his wife also shared throwback photos from their actual wedding day in Aberdeenshire in 2005.

Prince Charles and Camilla almost never had a chance to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary as he was stricken with coronavirus over two weeks ago. Per doctor's orders, Prince Charles had to self-isolate and while the Duchess of Cornwall was negative for COVID-19, she also needed to be in self-quarantine from her husband.

The Prince of Wales, fortunately, suffered just mild symptoms and was recovering successfully while Camilla remained in self-isolation. She got out of it merely days before they had to celebrate their 15 years as husband and wife.

But Prince Charles and Camilla have long been in a relationship. In fact, the couple was involved in a controversial affair for two decades before the British public, the Queen and Prince William and Harry accepted their relationship.
