Princess Beatrice is, reportedly, postponing her wedding to Edo Mozzi until 2021. The York royal also wants her special day next year to be a big celebration to boost the morale of the British people after the pandemic.

According to Daily Mail, Princess Beatrice's wedding postponement could be a blessing in disguise since she now has more time to plan a bigger affair. Earlier, the York princess had to make several changes to her wedding because of her father, Prince Andrew, who has been embroiled in a scandal for his links to the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Princess Beatrice's wedding plans had to change two times as her father's controversy has been a looming problem in the royal family. Thus, she was apparently left with little choice but to have a scaled-down royal wedding without any media coverage and with a small number of invited guests.

The York royal and her fiancé were supposed to get married on May 29. However, because of the government's advice on social distancing and limiting gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic, Princess Beatrice had to make another adjustment to her wedding plans. In March, Queen Elizabeth had to cancel all royal events in Buckingham Palace, including Princess Beatrice's wedding reception, to follow the government's guidelines.

But an insider believes Princess Beatrice also deserves to have a big royal wedding just like her sister Princess Eugenie, when she got married to Jack Brooksbank, and even her cousin Prince Harry, when he got married to Meghan Markle. The insider said that it would be nice to see the York princess walk down the aisle amid a hundred guests.

Sarah Ferguson, Princess Beatrice's mother, said in a separate interview that the royal wedding has been "in some doubts" since the pandemic struck end messed up everyone's life. However, the Duchess of York said that her daughter remains happy about getting married, regardless if it's a small or big affair. Fergie said that she has never seen Princess Beatrice so elated even if her marriage plans to Edo have been affected by the coronavirus and other delays.

Meanwhile, insiders said that now that the postponement is a bigger possibility, Princess Beatrice might also have her royal wedding at the St. George's Chapel in Windsor next year, similar to Princess Eugenie. This way, she can invite 800 guests as opposed to the original plan of just having 150 guests. Buckingham Palace, however, has yet to make the postponement announcement official.
