WARNING: This article may have spoilers for Better Call Saul season 5. Read at your own risk.
Better Call Saul season 5 keeps on delivering interesting episodes each week, but Kim Wexler's future is still a big mystery and her fate is in question. She isn't part of the Breaking Bad timeline, which leads to speculations that something bad may have happened to her. Yet, there is also a chance that she likely moved elsewhere and doesn't want to be involved to Jimmy McGill a.k.a. Saul Goodman.
Perhaps, the biggest clue about Kim's future was hinted in the previous episode of Better Call Saul season 5, titled "Bagman." She paid Lalo a surprise visit behind bars, which means she already attached herself criminal underworld and could also compromise her future. After all, something bad happens to those who get close to the Salamanca family.
If ever Kim indeed finds herself in deep trouble, she may end up needing an escape. But then, she does not usually run away from her problems, so escaping may not be the best option for her. However, she may not have any other choice and getting away might be the only way for her to survive. Perhaps, Jimmy could find a way and help her disappear.
However, nothing is still certain about Kim's future at the moment. It remains to be seen the real reason behind her absence in the Breaking Bad era. It's also interesting to see whether or not Jimmy really knew where she was all along. Their relationship is becoming more different in Better Call Saul season 5, but they're still there for each other.
Meanwhile, the finale of the fifth installment will be airing next week on AMC, titled "Something Unforgivable." Things could get even more intense here, with Jimmy and Kim working together. Jimmy pushes his Saul persona to new levels, which comes with good and bad things. He's finding good success with what he's doing and making a huge amount of cash.
However, the more he works in dangerous situations, the more he puts himself in danger, as well as Kim. The title is also likely a reference to both of them. Perhaps, Jimmy does something unforgivable which compromised Kim's life or her career. Also, something bad possibly happened, causing them to split and end their marriage.
The season finale of Better Call Saul season 5 airs on Monday night, Apr. 20, on AMC.
