It has been a long wait but the last five episodes of Rick and Morty Season 4 will finally air next month. So what can fans expect in the new episodes? Adult Swim has revealed the titles of the second half of the fourth season. Interestingly, there's one title that has people confused.
The official Rick and Morty Twitter account shared the five new titles in a recent tweet along with the confirmation that the series will return on Adult Swim on May 3. The titles for the final episodes are listed below.
Episode 6 - Never Ricking Morty
Episode 7 - Promortyus
Episode 8 - The Vat of Acid Episode
Episode 9 - Childrick of Mort
Episode 10 - Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri
Once again, the new episode titles are pop culture references. The sixth episode Never Ricking Morty is clearly a reference at Never Ending Story and might involve a book as well as a ruler who looks like a child. Meanwhile, Episode 7 pokes fun at Prometheus and fans believe it might have something to do with the creation of a murderous alien. The ninth episode is causing some confusion as it might be a reference to the horror film Children of the Corn or a possible nod to the dystopian thriller Children of Men.
Episode 10 is undoubtedly the one that fans are already looking forward to since it is a play at the title Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. This could mean that Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri will be introducing its own Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. On the other hand, people are confused with the eighth episode which is titled The Vat of Acid Episode. Nevertheless, Rick and Morty fans are already anticipating on how the episode will feature a vat of acid.
For now, fans can rest assured that Rick and Morty Season 4 is happening but when could the fifth season possibly air? It has already been confirmed that Adult Swim has picked the series up for 70 episodes over an unspecified number of seasons. At this point, it has not yet been revealed how many episodes have already been filmed. However, there is a huge chance that the network will make another announcement as soon as Season 4 concludes at the end of May.
The second half of Rick and Morty Season 4 will kick off with the sixth episode Never Ricking Morty. The series returns to Adult Swim on May 3.
