Alex Rodriquez has been Jennifer Lopez's No. 1 fan. He showed his full support to his fiancée in every project that she does but it doesn't mean that ARod is joining JLo in her acting world.
According to Heat, the couple is planning to make a movie together once the home quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic ended. Lopez, allegedly, found a script that would be perfect for them and Rodriguez is already taking acting lessons from the Hustlers actress.
Heat reported that the movie is a romantic comedy set in the sports world. Lopez, reportedly, thinks that it would be "perfect" for her former Yankee superstar fiance to jump-start his career in Hollywood.
A source of the tabloid claimed JLo's reasoning for making a movie with ARod is her 2003 film with Ben Affleck. Lopez, allegedly, feels like there is unfinished business for her when it comes to romantic comedy movies with real-life partners.
"Jen felt humiliated after Gigli bombed. That's why she wants to make this movie. She's got a point to prove and, after getting snubbed at the Oscars, she's even more fired up," the source said.
Gossip Cop dismissed the rumor that the "On the Floor" singer would be interested in making a movie with Rodriguez just because of Gigli. It is true that Lopez and Affleck's real-life love story didn't help the movie in the box office, but the singer/actress herself said she learned something from it.
In a 2015 interview with Lopez, she opened up about the flopped movie and the breakup with Affleck that ensued after that. The Shades of Blue actress said though it was a tough era for her, she has no regret about doing it and she could do it all over again.
This means Lopez does want to erase that memory, let alone try to correct it with another rom-com with her now fiance. Gossip Cop also reached out to its source in Lopez's camp, who confirmed that Lopez and the MLB superstar are not doing a movie together.
The only truth in Heat's claim is that Lopez is about to star in an upcoming romantic comedy film but that would be Marry Me and with Owen Wilson. The movie follows the life of a pop star, Kat Valdez (Lopez), who was left by her rockstar fiancé (Maluma) moments before their wedding at Madison Square Garden. Kat decides to marry a random guy (Wilson) from the crowd.
Meanwhile, Lopez and Rodriquez wouldn't like their wedding to be delayed any further as the couple intends to get married once the coronavirus crisis ends. JLo and ARod were supposed to wed in Italy this summer but it has been postponed due to the virus.
