Since Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez announced their engagement in March 2019, it has been plagued with all sorts of rumors. There were speculations about the couple inviting their respective exes at their wedding and more. A year after, the rumors have shifted on whether or not the wedding is still happening.
Life & Style published a story this week claiming Lopez and Rodriguez are most likely to call off their wedding. The tabloid based its speculation on the assumption that the couple hasn't made any definite plans for their wedding.
A source of the site claimed JLo and ARod are still a couple but decided not to get wed. The insider alleged the Hustlers actress feels safe with her current relationship with Alex and they don't need to get married.
"Engagement has always been the best part of her relationships. She knows it's irrational, but that's how she feels," the source said.
But the New York Yankee star allegedly has a different opinion. Alex is reportedly disappointed by the delays in their wedding.
Gossip Cop debunked the story after reaching out to a source close to Lopez who assured that the wedding is still on. Moreover, there is no indication that the couple is no longer planning to get married. Their actions in the past couple of weeks suggest otherwise.
A few days ago, the "On The Floor" singer and Rodriguez posted the video of his proposal to her to celebrate the first anniversary of their engagement. During JLo's Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, the world also saw how supportive the MLB superstar was to his fiancée.
Lopez has been vocal about how important the wedding is to her and Alex. In an interview with ES Magazine (via Entertainment Tonight) in September, the "Jennie In The Block" singer said since both she and ARod came from traditional Latin families, a wedding is very important to both of them.
She also explained in the interview why their wedding has been delayed as she assured everyone that they are still planning to do it. Lopez said she has been filming her movie Marry Me and at the same time, doing the OST album that goes with it. As for ARod, he is also busy with the World Series.
Lopez has been married and divorced three times. She was married to Ojani Noa in 1997. Their union lasted for only a year. Then she tied the knot with choreographer Chris Judd in September 2001. The marriage ended in 2003.
A year later, JLo got married to fellow singer Marc Anthony. The couple announced their split in July 2011. Their divorce was finalized in 2014. They have twins together, Emme and Max, who they both co-parenting now.
