Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were, reportedly, able to snatch up a paparazzi-proof mansion for $10 million. The Sussex royals' new rented home in Los Angeles is apparently near the house of Sir Elton John.

According to The Sun, the secluded property has two guarded checkpoints to keep intruders and the prying photographers at bay. The house is only temporary while Prince Harry and Meghan are still on the hunt for a permanent place in the United States.

Reports further revealed that John, as well as the couple George and Amal Clooney, have helped out Prince Harry and Meghan as they settled into Los Angeles. They were given guidance on security and schooling for their son Archie Harrison.

Reports in January revealed that John knew of Prince Harry and Meghan's plan to leave London and settle in the U.S. before the Sussex pair told Queen Elizabeth. However, a spokesperson for the famous musician denied such rumors and said that John found out about Prince Harry and Meghan's plans just like everyone else -- on their Instagram.

The spokesperson, however, dished that John supports how Prince Harry and Meghan are taking control of their loves. He deeply cares about the Sussexes owing to his friendship with Prince Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.

Meanwhile, new photos of Prince Harry and Meghan emerged as they took their dogs for a walk around the L.A. neighborhood last Thursday. Prince Harry and Meghan were photographed wearing face coverings as they let their dogs out for a much-needed exercise. Meghan was also seen carrying a bottle of hand sanitizer in one hand.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been keenly observing the California government's orders to stay at home for non-essential trips since they arrived in Los Angeles in late March. The face covering is also a mandatory order from the government.

Prince Harry and Meghan moved to Los Angeles from Vancouver to jumpstart their new foundation, Archewell. However, since the coronavirus lockdown, the couple decided to postpone the launch of their next venture outside of the royal family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially became non-working royals as of March 31, which means they will no longer be able to support the Queen officially at royal events. They were expected to be with Queen Elizabeth and the royal family for the summer in Balmoral. However, it's unclear if their plans will push through as the lockdown is still in place in the U.K.
