BTS is supposed to be going on tour for “Map Of The Soul” starting on April 11 in Seoul, South Korea. Unfortunately, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook’s much-awaited comeback was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Just like ARMYs, the BTS boys are also in lockdown. Meaning, the idols and fans are incredibly missing each other, and J-Hope recently confirmed that.
J-Hope took to Weverse to post two photos of his TV screen that showed that he was watching their previous concert. The BTS rapper then captioned the first snap: “I want to do it,” and the second one: “concert.”
While his captions were already making ARMYs emotional, what made them ball their eyes out was the fact that J-Hope added a crying sign to his post. (Check out the photos here). Fans call the 26-year-old rapper, songwriter, dancer, and record producer “sunshine” because of his bubbly and cheerful personality, so seeing him sad broke ARMYs’ hearts.
“Hobi is up at 1:25 am watching concert videos and coming on weverse crying about wanting to perform concerts again in his aegyo tone and dear god... I just... no one talk to me,” one tweeted. “Hobi posting on weverse at 1 am, whilst watching their old concerts, reminiscing those times and saying how he misses doing concerts for army. These tears are real,” another one wrote. “Hoseok posted on weverse on 1:21 am he said that he wants to perform again and he misses us. Hobi ahh, I'm gonna cryyy!” one ARMY shared. “You made our sun cry. That’s it corona you need to GO,” another fan noted.
Meanwhile, BTS took to social media on March 22 to share a message of hope during the coronavirus pandemic. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook also reflected on how important the presence of their fans was.
“We want to thank the nursing officers, medical staff and everyone battling this virus to protect the safety and lives of the people,” J-Hope said. "We realize more than ever how meaningful our everyday life was. Standing on a stage facing empty seats, we realize how precious each moment with you was,” Jin added.
RM previously admitted during his live broadcast that he was angry after the cancelation of their “Map Of The Soul” concert in Seoul. The BTS leader is known for his professionalism and composure, but he shared his true emotions on VLive. While he understands the situation, the BTS star felt helpless and upset about the whole thing.
RM also noted that it was hard for BTS to perform in music shows without the fans. Since the seats were empty, they felt empty inside as well. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Korean music shows have been recording performances without live audiences.
