"Assassin's Creed Valhalla," the highly anticipated installment to the successful "Assassin's Creed" series, recently dropped its first teaser image and trailer. Despite this, gaming studio Ubisoft has kept some essential details of the game, including the size of the map. A recent report reveals important information about the map of "Assassin's Creed Valhalla," as well as a confirmation that it would feature Stonehenge.
"Assassin's Creed Valhalla" Map Details
Ubisoft Montreal earlier mentioned that "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" is going to be a massive game. The action-adventure title was developed by 15 various studios, but Ubisoft has not yet confirmed the size of the map. The gaming studio has made some of the biggest games in the industry like "Assassin's Creed Odyssey" and "Assassin's Creed Origins."
At present, the gaming studio is still mum about the specifics of the upcoming title; it recently confirmed that the game is quite large. But, a recent statement from the "Assassin's Creed Valhalla's" Creative Director Ashfar Ismail revealed that the map would include not only Norway but also ninth-century England. Speaking to Game Informer, Ismail shared that "so for history buffs, they can look for that. It's a large part of England, and within that, you have three major cities: London, Winchester, and Jorvik (now called York in modern days, but Jorvik back then). And then we have a ton of towns, and of course, we have Norway as well."
The game's creative director also mentioned that "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" concentrates "on four major kingdoms of England during this time period: Wessex, Northumbria, East Anglia, and Mercia." But, Ismail emphasized that these are mere game's core. He further revealed that there are lots of surprises in store for players when it comes to the map and the world of the upcoming action-adventure game.
"Assassin's Creed Valhalla" Stonehenge
Aside from some details about the map and world of "Assassin's Creed Valhalla," a recent inquiry from a fan seemingly confirmed the presence of Stonehenge. On Twitter, a fan asked the game's creative director if players would be able to visit Stonehenge. Ismail replied with, "Oh, can you ever!" It appears like the creative director's answer is an exciting affirmation.
@AshrafAIsmail Can we visit Stonehenge in #AssassinsCreedValhalla ??? — Kevin Klayer (@KevinMjkid12345) May 2, 2020
It is worth mentioning that the place where Stonehenge is located is in the southern region of the UK. Ismail's response seemingly confirms that these regions will also be available for players to explore. Ubisoft has not yet revealed the release date of the game. But, it recently announced that "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" is coming sometime in the holiday of 2020.
