Jorge Luiz Frello has been linked on numerous occasions to a possible move to Juventus. But it appears all those will remain as speculations after the agent of Jorginho set the records straight recently. It appears that alleged plans to reunite with Maurizio Sarri hold low chances with Joao Santos revealing that he does not know a possible move by his client.

Aside from that, Santos may have shared an important update on the future of Jorginho. It seems that rather than leave the Blues, the 28-year-old midfielder wants to prolong his stay in Stamford Bridge. Santos added that he never had talks with anyone from the Juventus side and stresses that the Brazilian footballer is pretty happy in Chelsea after initially struggling under Frank Lampard, Calciomercato reported.

“I read that, but I never had contact with them," Santos said. “As of today, I know absolutely nothing about this situation. The lad is very happy in London, where he is proving his worth and still has three years left on his contract."

Jorginho has a three-year deal in place with Chelsea but it appears he is looking for an extension. He has fully adjusted to the new system of Lampard, a development that is far off from what Jorginho's side was singing back in February.

At the time, Santos himself said that anything is possible as far as the future of Jorginho. He broadly states that anything is possible, including leaving the Blues. But that would depend on the money on the table and the team where Jorginho would be headed. Nothing close to that has happened and the only thing certain right now is possibly adding another year to the current deal of the Brazilian.

“I don’t know what Juve’s transfer strategy is, but these are our plans for the future," Santos said.

Jorginho is one of several players now confined to his home as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread. League officials continue to discuss their options, some clamoring for games to resume while others believing it should just be scrapped.

The number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise, not to mention deaths. Whatever league officials decide will have an impact on current contracts and transfer moves. Most teams are now cash-strapped, hinting that previous transfer rumors may no longer happen. A move to a new team right now hardly seems feasible for Jorginho and other players, especially considering that most clubs are unlikely to spend heavily on talent for now.
