Blindspot season 5 will be arriving next week on NBC. Since this is the final installment of the Jaimie Alexander-led series, prepare for some big and unexpected reveals. The show also released a teaser of what's coming, which features Madeline's frustration.
The sneak peek of Blindspot season 5 shows how Madeline responds to some of the team's actions. It looks like she's still aware of what's going on with Jane, as well as the company. Throughout the final installment, Jane and the rest will try to clear their names, while taking on Madeline at the same time.
Madeline is a big bad from season 4 and may continue being one in the upcoming installment. The promo shows Madeline is frustrated because of a sudden attack in New York and she's certain that Jane and the team are behind it.
Madeline will do everything she can to destroy the team, so they need to be careful with their move. In addition, Madeline is more dangerous this time around, largely because she now has more people on her side. She wants to track the team and she knows they're hiding somewhere.
The team will try to clear their names in the wake of Madeline's rise to power. They may face several problems along the way, given that this big bad is capable of doing anything. This storyline will also be the forefront for the rest of the final installment and will uncover some of Madeline's plans over time.
Blindspot season 5 also picks up the events happened in season 4 finale. The final installment will start with the aftermath of the explosion, with Jane witnessing a drone striking on the safe house with the rest of the team inside. There have been a lot of questions as to who made it out alive.
Now, it looks like not everyone from the team is coming back as not all of them probably survived the explosion in Iceland. Although this has been previously expected, it's still odd knowing that some of them are not coming back moving forward.
Meanwhile, Blindspot season 5 was originally set to arrive on Thursday, Apr. 30. But then, the series decided to move the release date because of the Parks and Recreation special scheduled this week. Hence, viewers need to wait for another week before seeing the series coming back on the screen.
Blindspot season 5 premieres on Thursday night, May 7, on NBC.
