Kang Daniel beat BTS' Jimin as the most popular male idol for April, based on the idol chart score ranking conducted on the third week of April.
According to a report by KStyle News, the survey showed Kang Daniel surging to the top spot with 112,607 votes after the release of his comeback album CYAN and the release of his travel show Hello, Daniel.
It can be recalled that Kang Daniel took a couple of months off since late last year after he was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. Now that he has recovered, his fandom DANITY made sure to welcome him warmly for his return to the spotlight.
Most recently, Kang Daniel met a child who had cochlear surgery through the support of his fandom.
"I'm very happy to have the opportunity to practice sharing and participate in meaningful things thanks to the fans. BTS Jimin took the second spot in the survey with 69249 votes. His BTS member V landed on the third spot with 54664 votes.The rest of the Top 10 spots was rounded up by Song Gain, BTS Jungkook, Lim Young Eun (29883 votes) BTS Jin, Ha Sung-un, AB6IX Park U-Jin, and NU'EST Min-hyun.
While Kang Daniel edged out Jimin in the idol chart ran
kings, the BTS member maintained his position in the top spot of the Brand Reputation Rankings for April.Based on big data collected and analyzed by the Korean Business Research from March 24 to April 25, Jimin led the charge with a brand reputation index of 9,627,078, charting a 15.3
9 percent increase in his score since March. Jimin's high ranking phrases included Filter, Promise and Lie. Related search terms associated with Jimin included the words, sold out, record and heart pounding.
Kang Daniel trailed Jimin by a narrow margin as he posted a brand reputation index of 9,253,662. His figures also rose by 12 percent since March.
TVXQ's Changmin, who recently released his solo debut Chocolate, rose to third place with a brand reputation ranking of 4,934,009.
Other idols who made it to the Top 10 are MAMAMOO's Solar, BTS's V, BTS's Jungkook, BTS's Jin, MAMAMOO's Hwasa, Ong Seong Wu and Girls' Generation's Taeyeon.
