It is the words of Reese Witherspoon versus a tabloid. The Morning Show actress recently shared that she and her husband along with their children are quarantining together in California. Then a few days later, a tabloid claimed otherwise and alleged that Witherspoon's marriage, in reality, is in trouble.
NW published an article this week alleging that Reese is making a facade that her marriage is doing great when it is not. The tabloid claimed that the marriage of Witherspoon and Jim Toth is hanging by a thread.
The actress is, allegedly, in home isolation at her Pacific Palisades mansion without her husband, who it claimed staying in Malibu. A source of NW added the couple's friends have revealed that the pair has been living separately for almost a year now.
"Reese can gush as much as she wants about her 'supportive' husband, but they barely speak two words to each other these days," a so-called friend of the couple told the outlet.
The source indicated that the thing that is putting a strain in the couple's relationship is their work. Witherspoon is, allegedly, too busy with her films and TV projects and so is Toth.
Reese's husband is one of the top talent agents in Hollywood. Toth represents many A-list stars including Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey.
"She and Jim might talk themselves out of a divorce every time because of money, but she's at the point where that doesn't matter anymore. She wants someone to come home to, and Jim's not it," the source added.
NW's claims, however, don't coincide with what Reese Witherspoon has been saying and showing in the past weeks since the quarantine started. Just over the weekend, the Little Big Lies star had a beach trip in Malibu with her husband and their son, Tennessee. The family took some fresh air as they enjoyed a bike ride while wearing a face mask.
She also recently made an appearance on Miley Cyrus' Instagram show, Bright Minded: Live With Miley. In the show, Reese said her entire family is quarantining together including her husband, who she also specifically mentioned.
It is worthy to note that this is not the first time that Witherspoon and Toth have been reported living apart. Earlier this year, Gossip Cop debunked a Star article claiming the couple has been living separate lives. The same tabloid also alleged a few weeks ago that Reese's marriage was "suffering" during the lockdown brought by the coronavirus pandemic.
