Unlike his younger brother, Prince William apparently doesn't wear his wedding ring. This fact was most evident in his recent Zoom appearances while in quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Royal fans realized that the Duke of Cambridge has never worn his wedding band since he married Kate Middleton in April 2011. Prince Harry, on the other hand, proudly wears his but does this provide any clues into the marriages of the princes?

According to the Daily Mail, there's no alarming reason why Prince William doesn't wear his wedding ring. Only, the Duke of Cambridge prefers not to have jewelry of any kind and the Duchess of Cambridge is aware from the start that her husband will not wear their wedding ring.

"It was something the couple discussed but Prince William isn't one for jewelry," according to a source. "He doesn't even wear a signet ring, and decided he didn't want to."

Prince William is not the only royal who has no wedding ring on. Prince Philip doesn't have his because men before the World War II traditionally didn't wear wedding rings. According to reports, the trend of men wearing their wedding bands started during the Second World War because the ring would serve as keepsake for soldiers whose families were waiting back home.

Prince Charles did not used to wear a wedding ring during his first marriage as well. After his second marriage to Camilla, the Princes of Wales not only wears a gold band but he also has a signet on his pinkie.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry has been wearing simple platinum ring on his left hand since his wedding to Meghan in 2018. The ring is always evident in the Duke of Sussex's photos and videos in public.

Speaking of weddings, Prince William and Kate thanked their royal followers for remember them on their ninth wedding anniversary last April 29. The couple received a lot of congratulations on their social media page for celebrating another year of blissful life together.

The couple's solid marriage produced three beautiful heirs -- Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Princess Louis. Prince William, however, joked that he won't be able to handle another child.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have also been taking in more work for the royal family since their wedding day. As the second in line to throne after Prince Charles, Prince William is preparing himself to serve the British people as king one day.
