Cody Simpson and Miley Cyrus have been dating for six months but the former has already gained the approval of the singer's family early on in their relationship. He has spent a lot of time with the Cyruses since October 2019 when the couple first admitted that they are dating. He was even present during the many special occasions and holiday celebrations with the 'Wrecking Ball" singer's family.
Moreover, Cody's mother is a good friend of Miley's mom, Tisha. The two had a reunion a couple of months ago when Angie Simpson visited his son in the U.S.
Last month, the Globe claimed Miley's dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, was begging his daughter to dump Simpson. A source of the tabloid alleged Billy Ray thinks of Cody as a "poor imitation" of Miley's ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth. The truth as to why Cody is not rushing to get married is because he thinks he is still young to settle down. In an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, the 23-year-old star said though marriage is unlikely for him at the moment, what's important is he has a solid relationship with Miley.
"I believe in marriage but haven't thought too much about that. I am far too young to consider it, to be honest. I just continue to surround myself with positive women who inspire me and teach me new things every day," he said.
