Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson have been together for five months now and rumors have it that the couple is planning to get married in Australia very soon. A new tabloid report alleged that Cyrus plans to walk down the aisle at a beach near her ex Liam Hemsworth's hometown.

Nothing could be juicier than rumors about Miley Cyrus planning a wedding in Australia as it has been known to be the turf of the Hemsworth family. According to Australian publication NW, Miley and Cody are now preparing for their wedding at Simpson's hometown of Gold Coast, Queensland.

The outlet claimed the couple plans to exchange vows at the beach and could be happening after the "Wrecking Ball" schedule performance in Melbourne this week. A source of NW alleged Cyrus wants a lavish beach ceremony that includes drink servers in gold bikinis. The 27-year-old singer also allegedly planned to throw "the mother of all parties" in a penthouse afterward that includes "bottle service and strippers in every room."

The insider claimed Miley is planning all of these to get even with her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth. The singer allegedly purposely wants the ceremony to be held at Simpson's hometown, the Gold Coast, as it is just 45 miles away from Hemsworth's hometown, the Byron Bay.

"Miley can be such a brat...I wouldn't put it past her to send him an invitation just to not-so-subtly remind him she's happier without him!" the source added.

It is common knowledge that Cyrus has close ties to Australia. Her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth, was born in Melbourne and grew up in Byron Bay. Her current boyfriend, Cody Simpson, lives on Golden Coast.

However, nothing in NW's story is true. While it's a fact that Miley is set to hold a bushfire relief concert in Melbourne, it has already been postponed amidst concern on coronavirus.

Cyrus has also announced that she has canceled her trip to Australia for the same reason. In her tweet on Tuesday, the Hannah Montana actress said she will adhere to the advice of health authorities to avoid traveling, for now, to reduce potential risks in spreading or getting infected with the coronavirus.

"I am so disappointed to not be there, but I have to do what is right to protect the health and safety of my band and crew. I will still be making a donation to help the victims of the Australian bush fire," she added.

The Last Song actress is clearly not risking the health of her band and crew so it is also unlikely that she will risk the health of her family and friends who are supposed to attend her wedding. Gossip Cop noted that it reached out to a source close to the situation, who confirmed that the NW story is false.
