Fans are waiting for the supposed face-off between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. It is after a tabloid reported that the singer plans to confront her ex-lover when she travels to Australia.

According to Australia's NW Magazine, Cryus is furious after finding out that Hemsworth has already moved on with his new girlfriend, Gabriella Brooks. The insider claimed Cyrus believes Hemsworth will come "running back to her" once she started dating Simpson. To her dismay, the actor has moved on and started dating another woman.

This, allegedly, prompted the "Slide Away" singer to decide to head down to Australia to confront the Hunger Games actor. The tabloid, with the headline "Miley vs. Liam: Showdown In Byron!," claimed the Hannah Montana actress is hoping for she will run-in with her Last Song co-star.

The tabloid cited a source as saying Miley is keeping her boyfriend, Cody Simpson, in the dark about her true intention of traveling Down Under. The insider that Miley has told Cody that she is treating him to a trip so he could see his family and she could meet his friends. Simpson is from the Gold Coast in Australia.

The source alleged that, while in the country, Miley will suggest heading down to Byron Bay for a weekend getaway. The Hemsworths are from Byron. Once there, the source alleged that Miley will visit Liam's favorite hangout spots, hoping that the actor will be there and she could show off her new beau.

"She's under this delusion that Liam will... melt into a puddle of jealousy. Poor Cody's just a pawn in her game," the source said.

Gossip Cop debunked NW's story. While it is true that Miley and Cody are planning to visit Australia this year, it is not for Cyrus to confront her ex. It is most likely because Cody had spent time with the Cyruses in the U.S. since he and Miley confirmed their relationship in October. The couple could probably like to spend time this time around with Cody's family in Australia.

In addition, People Magazine has reported that Miley and Liam have already reached a divorce settlement during the Christmas holiday though it will still take a few more months before it would finalize in court. The magazine quoted a source as saying that the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker is relieved that she and Hemsworth have reached an agreement because all she wants right now is to move on and be happy with Cody. This means the ex-couple is no longer hoping for a future reconciliation.
