Miley Cyrus' love for Cody Simpson is growing by the day. The "Slide Away" singer celebrated Simpson's 23rd birthday by posted a sweet message for him.
The Australian singer/model appeared to be at the Emporio Armani fashion show in Milan during his special day. Although he was in Milan on his birthday, it didn't stop his girlfriend from sharing sweet messages to mark the big day.
The first one was a short black and white clip of the couple wearing face masks. Miley captioned it, "Happy birthday to my favorite human to get weird with on the entire earth." The second photo only showed Simpson. She captioned the snap, "Happy birthday to my best friend in the entire world @codysimpson. I love you and your pirate life!"
Aside from the sweet birthday tribute on her Instagram story, Cyrus also revealed her gift for the birthday boy. The Hannah Montana actress gave Cody a vintage doctor bag from the 1800s. It is inscribed with a crown logo and the words "Prince Neptune," which is Simpson's self-made moniker.
Miley Cyrus' recent showing of love for her boyfriend put an end on speculations about the couple's relationship. When the "Wrecking Ball" singer made her romance with Cody public in October, many thought that she was moving too fast with Simpson.
OK! Magazine also claimed Miley's friends pleaded on her to slow down as she was rushing to move on with Cody. Miley's friends allegedly believe that the singer should be focusing on healing after her split with her husband, Liam Hemsworth, and her short-lived romance with Kaitlynn Carter instead of jumping to a new relationship.
In November, rumors emerged that Cody was just a "plaything" for Miley as she allegedly still wants to win Hemsworth back. The rumor has been debunked since.
Gossip Cop cited a source close to Cyrus as saying the singer has no ulterior motive in having a relationship with Cody. The source added Miley has really moved on with the 23-year-old model and has no plan to get back with the Hunger Games actor.
Moreover, Miley and Liam have reportedly come to a divorce settlement during the Christmas holiday but it will take a couple more months before it would be finalized. The singer is reportedly relieved that she and Hemsworth have reached an agreement because all she wants at the moment is to be happy with Cody. The couple is reportedly planning to travel to Simpson's home country, Australia, this year.
