Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's secret wedding in December 2018 raised many questions as to why the couple had an abrupt nuptial. One of the rumors that emerged at the time was that Miley could be pregnant hence the sudden wedding.
Many were surprised when it was revealed that Miley and Liam had tied the knot in December 2018. Though the couple has been engaged for quite some time and many are expecting that Miley will walk down the aisle anytime soon, many were still taken aback when photos from their wedding were shared online.
The surprise was mainly because it was a simple wedding as compared to the expected extravagant event considering Miley's personality. Then several tabloids published stories after the wedding has been revealed that Cyrus is pregnant.
OK! Australia cited a source as saying the couple is not rushing on their wedding prep until they got the good news that they are expecting a baby girl. In Touch also published a story claiming the "Wrecking Ball" singer is about three months pregnant when she exchanged vows with Hemsworth at Cyrus family estate in Nashville, Tennessee.
The outlet source said the couple can no longer wait for their new bundle of joy and both are expected to be excellent parents. The insider, however, also claimed Miley's dad, Billy Ray, was not happy to be at the wedding.
Both claims are not true. Billy Ray shared several Instagram photos from the wedding and all were in a very good mood. In one of his posts, he congratulated the newlyweds. Though the marriage did not last long like the "Old Town Road" singer had hoped so, it was proven that it was not true that Billy Ray did not approve the wedding.
On the claim that Miley is pregnant, it is obvious by now that The Last Song co-stars are not expecting their first child when the wedding happened. The "Party In The U.S.A." singer did not deliver a baby six months after she said "I do" to the Hunger Games actor.
In fact, the couple did break up in August 2019. Miley is currently dating Australian singer Cody Simpson.
Back in January 2019, the Happy Hippie Foundation founder also addressed the pregnancy rumor. She posted a hilarious message on Twitter that also poked fun on Instagram's world-record-breaking egg.
"I'm not 'Egg-xpecting' but it's 'Egg-celent' to hear everyone is so 'Happy For Us'... 'Egg-cited" for this next chapter in our lives.... Now, can everyone leave me alone and go back to staring at an egg," she tweeted.
