An upcoming tell-all book about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal exit will be hitting bookshelves in August. The biography is written by two royal correspondents with close ties to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

According to reports, the book is called Finding Freedom: Harry, Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family. Penned by Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie, the book is set for an Aug. 11, 2020 release and it's apparently ready for pre-order for the Kindle and hardcover versions.

The introduction to the book states that Finding Freedom will "go beyond the headlines" to debunk any rumors or speculations about Prince Harry and Meghan. They have granted Scobie and Durand unique access to their lives thus the book was written with the consent of the couple.

Scobie is the Royal Editor at Large of Harper's Bazaar, while Durand is the royal contributor for Oprah magazine and Elle. Together, they have covered the lives of the royals by traveling extensively with the royal family. They have also covered Prince William and Kate Middleton, per Tatler

Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan sat down with Scobie and Durand before they packed their bags and decided to stay in North America. Sources also said that the tell-all book was hatched based on the encouragement of the Duchess of Sussex's inner circle of friends.

Per Deadline, Prince Harry and Meghan also worked with Harper Collins to grant the interview with Durand and Scobie before their royal exit.  The move has been compared to the PR strategy of Prince Harry's mother, the late Princess Diana. In the 1990s, she published a tell-all book titled Diana: Her True Story, which detailed her life as a royal.

Andrew Morton wrote the biography after Princess Diana divorced from Prince Charles. The book contained controversial stories that still make waves to this day and, initially, many believed that the Princess of Wales had no knowledge of Morton's plans.

However, Morton admitted that Princess Diana was fully involved in the publication of her book. Following her death, Morton updated the biography to contain the transcripts of his tape recordings with Princess Diana to make the book. Buckingham Palace, as well as the Spencer family, earned the ire of Morton.

To avoid a repeat of that fiasco, Prince Harry and Meghan have named the authors of their tell-all book so as not to mislead the readers that the biography hasn't been hatched without the royals' knowledge. Readers will be able to confirm if the tell-all book has any controversial and juicy details once it is out in August.
