Fans of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been waiting for years on when the couple will get engaged. Rumors have it that even Gwen's parents have already given the green light for the couple to get married. Here's the truth on such speculation.

OK! magazine claimed about a year ago that Shelton was ready to go down on one knee and pop the question to Stefani. However, the country crooner allegedly wants to make sure first that he has the approval of Gwen's parents.

A source of the tabloid claimed that Blake went out of his way to prove to Stefanis that he is the right man for the No Doubt frontwoman. The insider explained that Gwen's parents, Dennis and Patti, were initially worried that their daughter might get hurt again. But as they get to know the "God's Country" singer, the more they liked him.

"Dennis loves the fact that Blake is a real man's man who hunts, fishes, and lives on a ranch where he does a lot of his work. They think their daughter and Blake make a great couple," the source claimed.

While it's true that Shelton has been spending time with Gwen's family, it wasn't true that he asked their permission to marry his fellow coach in The Voice. The couple are not engaged or not getting married anytime soon. Gossip Cop also reached out to Gwen's rep, who confirmed that the OK! story was fabricated.

The "Nobody But You" singers have been dating since late 2015. Over the years, they have been rumored getting married or planning to have kids of their own. Gwen has three sons from her previous marriage to Bush lead singer and guitarist Gavin Rossdale.

The latest wedding rumor about the couple was last month when Star claimed Gwen and Blake exchanged vows in a backyard wedding at the latter's ranch in Oklahoma. The tabloid claimed since the couple are spending quarantine together, they have finally decided to get married.

Gossip Cop debunked the report. It is true that Gwen and Blake are together in Oklahoma along with the former's kids but they did not get married while in quarantine.

At the moment, the couple are still in Oklahoma. Blake is getting ready for the return of The Voice as this season's coaches and contestants would be filming the live shows from their homes.

NBC released a promo video for The Voice Season 18. It showed host Carson Daly asking the coaches about the at-home equipment that they need to set up for the live broadcast.

Blake bragged that setting up the equipment would be the easiest thing that he would ever do. However, he clearly struggled in opening his production equipment case as he hilariously tried several tools such as a corkscrew and tree cutting chainsaw in doing so. At the end, he tossed the case from the second floor of his mansion and it finally cracked open.
