Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are already in the fourth year of their relationship and many are still wondering why the couple hasn't decided to make it official on paper. This could be the reason why rumors about their engagement don't end as their fans patiently waiting for Shelton to pop the question.
A new rumor about Stefani and Shelton's engagement emerged. OK! Australia claimed the "God's Country" singer has, finally, proposed to her girlfriend over the holiday.
The tabloid started its story by saying the couple were in a good mood and couldn't keep their hands off each other during Gwen's son's soccer practice because they are finally engaged. A source of the outlet claimed Blake proposed to the No Doubt front liner just before Christmas and they revealed it to their family on Christmas morning.
The insider said Blake prepared a very romantic proposal. Apparently, the long-time judge of The Voice told his girlfriend that he has a new song, titled "The Proposal." Blake, reportedly, told Gwen that he wanted her to hear it and, as the song ended, he popped the question by offering her a $4.3 million custom pear-shaped eight-carat diamond set in a platinum ring.
It appeared that Stefani's sons knew about the country crooner's plan as he, reportedly, asked their permission to marry their mother before he proposed to her. Stefani has three sons from her previous marriage to English musician Gavin Rossdale. Blake also, reportedly, promised to convert to Roman Catholicism and exchange vows with his fiancée in a church ceremony.
Then, the source of OK! Australia claimed the couple is now planning for their wedding, which includes a reception at Shelton's Oklahoma ranch. So far, the cost of the reception alone was reported to be at almost $3 million.
Gossip Cop debunked all the claims of the tabloid. The outlet said, while it is likely that the couple will finally engaged and tied the knot in the future, the truth is Blake has yet to propose to Gwen. Gossip Cop reported that Shelton has already said that when he finally proposed to Gwen, their fans wouldn't find it out on tabloid.
"Obviously, [our relationship's] gotta lead somewhere, but I promise you, we won't break the news in any of the grocery store trash magazines," Shelton, previously, told Entertainment Tonight in an interview in June.
Gossip Cop also noted that it would be unlikely that only one tabloid has noticed about the couple's wedding preparation especially if they are indeed spending millions of dollars on wedding preparations in roughly three weeks.
