Selena Gomez will turn the heat on in the kitchen as she returns on TV with a new show on HBO Max. Gomez's TV comeback will not be as a singer or actress but as a cooking star.

Selena Gomez is already a household name but starting this summer, she will be more in everyone's kitchen as many will surely cook along with her. HBO Max has announced that the "Boyfriend" singer will star in and executive produces a new cooking series starting this summer.

The unscripted 10-episode cooking series will feature Gomez making delicious meals while stuck at home in quarantine. The 27-year-old songstress will work remotely with several master chefs and they will talk about different cuisines and share tips and tricks in cooking and dealing with kitchen nightmares. Moreover, the show will also showcase different food-related charity in each episode.

"...this casual, funny, and informative series will embrace both the struggle and the joy of learning to cook - while inviting audiences to follow along at home," HBO Max said in its press release

Gomez confessed her love for food and if she will have another career, she would like to be a chef. The "Rare" singer said right now, due to home quarantine, she finds herself in the kitchen more often, polishing her culinary skills as she experiments with different dishes.

Working from home would be a piece of cake for Gomez as she has been doing it in creating her new music since the quarantine started. Selena recently shared on her Instagram her makeshift recording studio

She also posted a couple of her candid photos at her kitchen cooking meals for the family during social distancing. Selena also gave Selenators some recommendations for music, movies, books, and podcasts that they could check out while staying at home.

HBO Max is scheduled to launch on May 27. The still-untitled Selena Gomez's cooking show is scheduled to premiere in summer.

The "Lose You to Love Me" singer last starred in a TV show in Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place, which ended in 2012. The singer/actress, however, has served as an executive producer of the Netflix hit drama 13 Reasons Why and the docu-series Living Undocumented last year. She will also produce the upcoming Netflix feature, The Broken Heart Gallery.

Selena has released her third studio album, Rare, earlier this year. She also revealed last month that her Rare Beauty line will also come out this summer.
