There's a surge of interest in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's second baby. Hence, it's no surprise that Betfair, the world's largest online betting exchange, is now giving odds of 4/7 that the couple will drop the much-awaited news anytime this year.
Royal fans are now putting their money on the possibility that Archie will have a sibling soon, Hello! Magazine noted. "Punters are convinced that 2020 may bring further joy for the pair, and they are odds-on at 4/7 to announce another pregnancy in 2020," the company's spokesperson Darren Hughes said.
Aside from the bets on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's second baby, Hughes also revealed that punters were convinced their son would join his cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, in the United Kingdom. The odds that Archie would attend his first year of school in the U.K. is at 11/8 odds, while 2/1 at the possibibility he would study in the United States.
The Sussex family is now spending their lockdown in Los Angeles. On Archie's first birthday, they released a new video of him, while his mom was reading the book, Duck! Rabbit!
The little kid was sitting on Meghan Markle's lap, while his dad was the one behind the camera, recording the scene. The clip also revealed the former actress' affection nickname for her son, which is "Arch."
The clip only showed that Archie is the main focus of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's lives, so there might be no baby number two anytime soon. Us Weekly recently reported that they were in no rush to have a second kid.
The pair just recently moved to Los Angeles, so they might still busy settling in their new home while trying to getting Archie used to their surroundings. They are both busy giving their son all of their attention, believing a new baby will come in due time.
"They're still enjoying these precious early days with him," a source said. Although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are both committed to having a second kid, they, reportedly, don't want to put too much pressure on it.
